Aldinga Community Centre Noticeboard

ALDINGA BAY COMMUNITY SHED GROUP

UPDATE

This group has been formed so that a Community Shed can be established on Symonds Reserve adjacent to the Hall behind the public toilet block.

Funding of $190,000 has been received from Local, State and Federal Government.

Earth works to commence mid-January.

Construction anticipated to be completed by July.

MEN’S BREAKFAST ON SATURDAYS

Last Saturday on month—23rd February, 29th March and 26th April.

Local men of all ages are invited to these monthly breakfasts hosted by our Men’s Southtalk group. Network, chat and listen to guest speakers. Please RSVP on 8556 5940 by Thursday before breakfast for catering purposes. Gold coin donation. (John) McArthur Lounge.

SELLICKS COMMUNITY HALL

The Centre now runs Sellicks Hall as an outreach Community Centre. It has employed a Community Development Officer, Rachel and a Cleaner / Booking Officer, Sue. Current activities at the Hall are:

Sellicks Community Group (Aged Care and Housing), over 60 yrs- 1st & 3rd Mondays 9.30 am—2 pm. Phone Jan 8323 8258.

Australian Retired Persons Association, over 50 yrs —Thursdays 10 am—3 pm. Phone Mary 8557 4091

Sellicks Community Playgroup— Fridays 10.30—12 noon. Phone Rachel 0418 891 666.

Sellicks Working Team—meet monthly on a Tuesday 6.30—8 pm. Phone Murray 8556 3996 or Janine 8556 3216.
